Common questions

Will this fit my year? (2015–2020 vs 2021–2026)

2015–2020 F-150s use 3" exhaust tubing. 2021 and newer use 3⅛" tubing. Selecting the wrong year means the system won't connect properly. If you're unsure, check the diameter of your factory tailpipe before ordering.

Why does this mount behind the resonator instead of the cat? Won't it sound better as a true cat-back?

We engineered this to attach behind the factory front resonator on purpose. We've tested both ways. When you remove the resonator and run a true cat-back (Borla, MagnaFlow, etc.), the 5.0L and EcoBoost both get noticeably raspier — especially under throttle. Leaving the resonator in place doesn't make the exhaust quieter, it just kills the bad frequencies. The result is a clean, deep rumble with no drone. If you want a raspier sound, you can pair this with a separate resonator delete — but most customers prefer the tone with it left in.

Will it drone on the highway or while towing?

Moderate and Aggressive are tuned to be daily-drivable with no cabin drone — even when towing. Muffler Delete is significantly louder and can produce some drone under load; we recommend it only if your truck isn't towing the family camper.

Does this fit the PowerBoost hybrid?

No. This system fits all gas engines: 5.0L V8, 3.5L EcoBoost, 2.7L EcoBoost, and 3.3L V6. PowerBoost has different exhaust routing and is not compatible.

Do I need a tune?

No. This is a direct bolt-on. No ECU changes, no check-engine light, no tune required. Your truck runs exactly as it did before — just better.

How does it compare to Borla, MagnaFlow, and MBRP?

 Same 304 stainless. Same bolt-on fitment. Same lifetime warranty. Around $500 less because we sell direct. Sound-wise: our Muffler Delete sits close to Borla ATAK and S-Type. Our Aggressive matches MBRP Street. Our Moderate is deeper and lower-pitched than Borla Touring.
