This product is designed to fit 2009-2018 Ram 1500 trucks (and 2019-2024 Classics) that came from the factory with a single side exit exhaust system only. It will NOT fit trucks with dual exit exhaust systems.

Installation is very straightforward and 100% bolt-on. This muffler is manufactured to use the factory exhaust hangers and flanges, lining up exactly in place of your stock muffler. No welding is required, and in most cases you do not need to cut your factory pipes – this should clamp right into the existing exhaust once the muffler is removed. The kit includes all necessary hardware (such as band clamps or bolts) for a secure, leak-free connection. To install, you’ll just need basic hand tools like socket/ratchet or wrenches to loosen the factory clamp and mounting bolts. Remove the old muffler (spraying the hangers with lubricant can help), then slip the new pipe in place, reusing the factory hanger locations. No special tools beyond standard garage tools are needed. Most DIYers can complete the swap in roughly 30-60 minutes on the driveway. If your truck’s exhaust is heavily rusted you might need to cut off stubborn old clamps, but under normal circumstances, cutting isn’t necessary. Overall, this is a simple bolt-on installation that can be done at home or by any muffler shop with ease. Installation should take less than 1 hour.

Removing the stock muffler will make your Ram noticeably louder and more aggressive-sounding. The whole point of a retrofit muffler is to let the exhaust flow freely with less sound dampening.
